Results from Cobble Hall 27th July 2007

Yet again the society's luck with the weather held and we got a rain free round in at Cobble Hall which, despite the recent deluge was in fine condition. Captain Keeney took the main competition with 38 points, John Wharton (37) and Simon Pepperell (36) occupied the other podium positions. Paul Fryer won the nearest the pin and Mike Armistead ripped out the longest drive. Simon Fabry, Rod Farquhar, Jonny Hirst, Simon Pepperell and Bob Seaton all had a share in the two's club. One hole worth commenting on was Alan Edson's five at the par four 316 yard 17th hole - a drive and four puts, the first of which was from 60 yards !! Another good turnout of 22 players was achieved and a good day had by all.
