The President's Message - 2001
Dear Friends
Welcome once again to the Aberford Horticultural Society Annual
Show to be opened by the Lord Mayor of Leeds at 2:15 pm on Saturday
25th August. I am sure you will all join me in giving him a warm
greeting.
This year Aberford has its own website at http://www.aberford.net
where you will find interesting information on this society and
other details about the village. It’s well worth a look (hello 21st
century, Aberford is joining in!).
We were all saddened at the death of Fred Hayton. A stalwart of
the society from its beginnings, Fred will be greatly missed. As
will his famous runner bean entry!
Please support your village show and come to the village hall and
remember you don’t have to have an allotment to enter, although
new members are always wanted and made welcome.
